Well, it's time.

This time tomorrow, I will be well on my way to Japan on the overnight flight.
Preperations are continuing apace, and I've already packed all of my clothes, a couple of towels, my trainers and a swimsuit. I'm also going to bring my Powerbook, a couple of travel guides, a travel adapter for my Powerbook and iPod, and my Nintendo DS. I'm going to leave my phone behind, as it's not going to work in Japan, and I've lent a housemate my copy of The 36th Chamber of Shaolin. And tomorrow, I'm planning on seeing if I can borrow a Marantz audio recorder to do some interviews with.
So now I just have to decide just what I'm going to do in Japan. I have a loose little list of things to do, aside from Comiket:

So now I just have to decide just what I'm going to do in Japan. I have a loose little list of things to do, aside from Comiket:
- Find a Soul of Chogokin Baikanfu: Machine Robo is an awesome series, and Hobby Link Japan isn't selling this badass robot any more, so finding one of these babies is a huge priority!
- Get some Super Robot Wars Games (Particularly Alpha 2 and 3, Impact and Z), Jump Ultimate Stars, and others: I would've got them online, but after I pleged to go to Tokyo, I figured it would wait until now...
- Go see the Odaiba Gundam: because what giant robot fan wouldn't?
- See Toei Movieland in Kyoto: It's a giant set for period Japanese dramas. I would be kicking myself to miss it. Could spend the day in Tokyo Disneyland, if I have the time.
- Find an arcade that has Virtual On Oratorio Tangram, and play the hell out of it! Also, play some Gundam: Bonds of the Battlefield, too.
- Go visit some shrines: I really one to find one dedicated to Bensaiten, but maybe that's just the Urusei Yatsura fan in me talking...
- Eat at Yoshinoya and Go Go Curry: Simply just personal preference here.
